Summer Camp in Physics. Edition 2018
The Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń is pleased to welcome applications for the 1st edition of the Summer Camp in Physics.
Summer Camp in Physics is an opportunity for students of physics and technical faculties interested in to attend in a 10 day summer school.
Dates: July 2 – 13, 2018
Planned lectures and exercises (Program):
- Introduction to Modern Biophysics
- Physics Today
- Engineering Thermodynamics; A Quick and Dirty Approach
- Experimental NanoPhysics
- Python in Physics
- Nanooptics: Modeling optical response of nanoparticles
- LabView – environment as tool for data acquisition and processing
- Molecular Modelling of Biomolecules
Cultural and recreational program:
- Guided Torun sightseeing
- Visit in the Planetarium
- Visit in the Center for Modernity “Mill of Knowledge”
- Canoe trip on the Drwęca river
- Visit in the Centre for Astronomy
- Climbing course in the Rope Park Barbarka
- Visit in the Living Museum of Gingerbreads
Venue: Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Grudziadzka 5 street, 87-100 Torun, Poland.
Full board is provided (accommodation, food, airport transfers).
Fee 1250 Euro.
Fee does not include: air tickets, visa cost, insurance.
Registration opens on April 20, 2018.
