UNIVERSITY CENTRE FOR SUPPORT AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

The aim of the Center is to use the resources and possibilities of the University so that every person seeking support could find the appropriate help. All students and staff are invited to contact the Centre when they feel difficult in a new situation, may feel insecure in a new country and are looking for someone to talk to.

Should you need support and a conversation with a counsellor and the Center, you can obtain help from psychologist or psychiatristHelp is available to any student, doctoral student or employee of Nicolaus Copernicus University.


QUIET ROOM

The Quiet Room is located in room A.0.29 in the Institute of Physics. This room is intended for individuals who require a moment of peace and quiet or relaxation in solitude, away from other people or excess of stimuli. The priority to use this room is given to individuals with special needs, including disorders (e.g. the autism spectrum), emotional distress which require stress relief and calming.

Listening to loud media, loud conversations, including phone calls, etc. are strictly prohibited in the Quiet Room.

The room is available Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The key to this room is issued at the front desk of the Institute of Physics after a valid student ID is presented. The details of the person collecting the key are recorded (name, surname, field of study, date and time of collection and return of the key). Only the person requiring quiet time should stay in the room.
