The Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Informatics at NCU is hosting the participants of the Toruń Student Summer Program in Exact Sciences (TSSP ExSci). This year's edition brings together 15 students from Denmark, Finland, Greece, Spain, Lithuania, Latvia, Morocco, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkey, and Hungary.
During their four-week stay, the young researchers carry out projects in astronomy, physics, mathematics, and computer science. They work under the supervision of researchers from our Faculty and the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at NCU.
The participants also learn about the research conducted at both faculties during specially prepared lectures. Dr. Marta Pelc spoke about graphene nanostructures, and Dr. Grzegorz Kowzan introduced topics related to ultrafast molecular spectroscopy.
Outside of laboratories and lecture halls, there is also time for integration and discovering the history, culture, and charms of Toruń.
