Hello!
I am an experimental physicist working at the Institute of Physics of the Nicolaus Copernicus University since 2000. Currently, I am the head of the Scintillator and Phosphor Materials Spectroscopy Group, which is a subdivision of the Department of Applied Physics at the Institute of Physics. I am interested in radiative and nonradiative processes in wide bandgap materials, particularly inorganic scintillators. To examine these processes I measure radio-, photo- and thermoluminescence of the investigated samples, their afterglow, scintillation light yields and time profiles. The most important results of these studies have already been presented at conferences and/or published in journals (See the list of my publications and my subpage within the web service of my institute.) Besides physics I am interested in public transport (mainly railway), architecture and nature photography, chess, hard & progressive rock, and history of music.
