Kolokwium Czwartkowe

W dniu 28.01.2016 r. o godz. 12.30 w sali audytoryjnej COK prof. dr hab. Detlef Hommel (University of Bremen, Uniwersytet Wrocławski) wygłosi wykład pt.: "Wide gap quantum dots (InGaN, CdSSe) - growth mechanisms and applications"

Streszczenie:

A controlled growth of wide bandgap quantum dots is a precondition for applications in light emitting devices (LEDs, laser diodes) and as single photon sources for quantum cryptography. The growth mechanisms of self-organized InGaN/GaN and CdSe/ZnSSe dots differ significantly from the wel know Stransky-Krastanov model and will be explained. In the second part the growth of monolithic microcavities based on group-III nitrides and group-II selenides and the incorporation of quantum dots will be discussed. Finally our latest results on single photon sources (SPS) and anti-bunching will be presented. For CdSe dots we obtained anti-bunching up to room temperature under optical excitation and up to 200K for electrical injection.
