POLISH NEURAL NETWORKS SOCIETY

The Polish Neural Networks Society (PNNS) formally inaugurated its 
activity in Warsaw on October 27, 1995. The host institution was the Institute 
of Biocebernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of 
Sciences (PAS) which offered its rooms for the session.

Aims and scope of activity:

- Integration of scientists, engineerss and students working in the domain 
  of artificial neural networks and other adaptive systems of similar kind.

- Organization of conferences, meetings and seminars

- Cooperation with other professional societies in the country, with similar 
  organizations from abroad and with international organizations devoted to
  promotion of the neural network research.

- Inspiration, stimulation, organization and management of joint research
  and education programmes related to the fields of neural networks

- Support for cooperation with industry, banks and administration, support
  for developing neural-based applications and support for publishing projects

- Exchange of information in the domain of interest

Persons aspiring for a membership need recommendation from two PNNS members.
