On February 23, 2012 r. at 17.15 in room 26 prof. dr hab. Włodzisław Duch from Department of Informatics, NCU will give a lecture: "Brains and minds: what do we know about ourselves"

On January 19, 2012 r. at 12.30 in auditorium hall of Center of Quantum Optics prof. dr hab. Marek Banaszkiewicz from Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences give a lecture: "Space exploration"

Center of Quantum Optics is being built at the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics. The center will be composed of six Laboratories dedicated to:

University Physics in Toruń originated when Nicolaus Copernicus University was established in 1945. Its founder, who organized research and teaching here, was Aleksander Jabłoński who arrived with a group of Stefan Batory University scholars displaced from Wilno (today’s Vilnius, Lithuania).
