Ogłoszenie konkursu na staże naukowe w ramach TAPS 2017

Dziekan Wydziału Fizyki, Astronomii i Informatyki Stosowanej Uniwersytetu Mikołaja Kopernika ogłasza międzynarodowy konkurs na staże naukowe w ramach "The Toruń Astrophysics / Physics Summer program" (TAPS 2017). Studenci i doktoranci z kraju i zagranicy mogą aplikować o staże wakacyjne polegające na realizacji projektu naukowego pod okiem eksperta z dziedziny, której dotyczy wybrany przez uczestnika problem badawczy z fizyki lub astronomii (lista projektów: http://www.ca.umk.pl/taps2017/topics.html).

Nagrodą w konkursie jest zapewnienie zakwaterowania oraz pokrycie kosztów utrzymania w wysokości 50 zł / dzień na czas odbywania stażu. Zgłoszenia przyjmowane są do 5 maja br. i polegają na przesłaniu dotychczasowego życiorysu naukowego oraz listu motywacyjnego, w którym kandydat przedstawi swoje zainteresowania naukowe.

Projekty będą realizowane na WFAiIS UMK w Toruniu przez okres od 3 do 8 tygodni w terminie od maja do września 2017 r. (dokładne terminy będą ustalane indywidualnie z opiekunami Projektów). Dokładne informacje oraz Regulamin Konkursu są dostępne na stronie http://www.ca.umk.pl/taps2017.


Announcement of the Contest for research stays - TAPS 2017   

The Chair of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy, and Informatics (FPAI) of the Nicolaus Copernicus University announces an international contest for research projects: "The Toruń Astrophysics / Physics Summer program" - TAPS 2017. Undergraduate and Master's students as well as PhD students from Poland and abroad are encouraged to apply for research stays which be supervised by the expert in the field of the project chosen by the student during the application procedure (the list of projects: http://www.ca.umk.pl/taps2017/topics.html).


As part of the award, the organisers will cover the accommodation costs in Toruń and the living costs (food and local transportation) in a form of a lump sum of 50 PLN per day during the research stay.

In order to participate in the Contest, applicants are kindly asked to send their CV and motivation letter, presenting their research interests and the choice of the research summer project.
The research stays of duration 3 to 8 weeks will be conducted in the FPAI NCU in Toruń during the period from May do September 2017 (the specific dates will be set individually with project advisors).
